After struggling with my weight my whole entire life, I have been on every diet known to man, from Weight watchers, South Beach , Cabbage Diet , Juice Diet, the egg Diet , Diet Pill after diet pill!! I researched for years the right step for me to take.
The Obesity Control Center was the most informative site I found. All of the information I was given was so helpful, all of the staff was very nice and helpful. Any questions you have they answer for you. I decided that the Verticle Sleeve Gastrectomy was right for me. Everyone was very skeptical of me traveling to Mexico.
But after receiving all the information and the schedule the OCC supplies you with, my family was very comfortable with my decision, after I decided this is what I wanted. The process was very simple and very fast. When I arrived to the OCC and meet with DR. Ortiz I was put more at ease. He is so down to earth, and friendly. The nurses at the Center are amazing. You are in good hands at the OCC.
I started this journey at 275 pounds, the day I had surgery at the OCC I weighed in at 235. After great guidance from my nutritionist and amazing care before during and after surgey I weigh 155 today.
