Obesity Control Center is one of the first International Centers of Excellence outside of the United States. Dr. Ariel Ortiz and Dr. Arturo Martinez have performed more than 12,000 weight loss surgeries and have exclusively dedicated their entire practice to performing weight loss procedures. They are considered world leaders in their field and are regularly invited to speak at international medical conferences on the topics of metabolic and bariatric surgery.

Dr. Ariel Ortiz, the Center's director, is a Board Certified medical surgeon and a world-renowned expert on weight loss surgery. He trained almost a decade ago under the designer of the Lap Band, Dr. Mitiku Belechew, and has now trained hundreds of surgeons around the world to perform this procedure safely and effectively.

Most importantly, Dr. Ortiz and his team take a very personal and compassionate interest in your specific situation.
