Lap Band Surgery Tour
Day One - The Arrival
Upon arrival at the San Diego Airport, you will be met by our driver in the baggage claim area of your airline. If arrival is
by noon, you will be driven to our center for your pre-op medical evaluations, which include lab tests, EKG studies and a
respiratory function test that is performed the next day, prior to surgery. You will meet with our cardiologist who will go
over your health history as part of your complete work-up. You will have a consultation with our nutritionist regarding your
post-op diet and food plan and will be given written instructions. You may also meet with Dr. Ortiz or Dr. Martinez.
After that is complete, you will be driven to your designated hotel and you will check in to your 5 star accommodations
where your companion may eat a light meal and you continue on your pre-op diet. You may want to go sight seeing, shopping
or take a dip in the pool.
If you arrive later in the day (after 12:00 PM), you will be driven from the airport directly to the hotel where you can
relax and enjoy the hotel amenities. Your pre-op evaluations will be done the next morning prior to your surgery.
